Philips grabbed smart-home enthusiasts’ attention in 2012 when it launched the Hue line with the original A19 color-changing bulb, and since then, the company has added several more products to the family, including battery-powered lights, strip lights, light globes, and plain white light smart bulbs. The recent addition of HomeKit compatibility makes Hue lights work with additional products and allows Siri voice control over the lights. This requires the Hue gateway, which comes in the current starter kit.
Proudly presented by the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) in conjunction with SLP (New Zealand), this conference underpins the objectives and goals of the Street Light and Smart Controls (SLSC) Programme.
